In 1-D math input, the input font is red. To customize your interface so 1-D math (Maple Input) is the default at any prompt, change the Input Display setting in the Display tab of the Options Dialog. Alternatively, access from the Insert>Maple Input menu. To switch between 1-D and 2-D math, press the F5 key or click the entry mode icon in the context bar. When entering Maple input and text, the Text mode icon is highlighted in the context bar.
